We in MANA believe that information is power and that Latinas are the key to well educated families and healthy communities. Today, approximately 60% of all new jobs created need some level of technology literacy. If you don't know how to use a computer you are limiting your opportunities in the workplace. If your children are not becoming computer literate their future is being jeopardized. So what can you do?

You can find out as much as you can about the role technology is playing in your schools, libraries, and community centers, and then develop long-term and short-term strategies to get what you want. We also believe there is power in numbers. So join with other parents and interested individuals to procure the proper equipment and training for you and your children.

"The Latinas' Guide to the Information Superhighway" - using an easy to understand question and answer format - gives you basic information on computers and the information superhighway.

It is now up to you to become an active participant or "roadkill" on the information superhighway. To order the bilingual version of "The Latinas' Guide to the Information Superhighway", please send a check , or money order for $3.00 to: MANA, Attn: Superhighway Book, 1146 19th Street NW, Ste. 700 Washington DC, 20036.
